Berea City School District, which includes Middleburg Heights, Brook Park and a portion of Olmsted Falls, was ranked as one of the 20 best systems in Cuyahoga County, according to a recent local magazine survey. For the 4th year in a row, it was in the Top 100 for Music Education in the Nation, an honor fewer than 20 school systems in American have earned for all four years. The district incorporates 12 schools, 450 Teachers, and 7700 Students. Two parochial schools augment the system.
Berea City Schools also has one of the largest community education and preschool programs in the state.

Baldwin Wallace College was founded in 1845. It was one of the first colleges in Ohio to admit students without regard to race or gender. It continues today as an independent, coeducational college in the liberal arts tradition.
The school occupies 45 buildings on 58 acres with approximately 4,500 students on campus, 2,800 full-time undergraduate and Conservatory students, 1,100 part-time evening and weekend students and 600 students in graduate programs in education and business administration.

Polaris Career Center serves adults and high school students from the Berea, Brooklyn, Fairview, North Olmsted, Olmsted Falls, and Strongsville School Districts. A wide variety of career training programs and special interest classes are available. Corporate training programs are available to business and industry. Customer service is offered in the areas of cosmetology, the Culinary Connection Restaurant, and the Polaris Floral / Horticulture Department.
