Individual entrepreneurs and business people often feel that some problems are simply too big to tackle alone; sometimes the Chamber can offer assistance.

The Chamber has established a good rapport with our Mayor, Directors, and Council people. The Mayor serves as an appointed Chamber trustee. His attendance at our monthly meetings keeps us informed of City happenings.

The Chamber serves as a clearinghouse for accurate news and information, on both a formal and informal basis. There's a great amount of networking among Chamber members. You will be able to make more accurate management decisions using "current information" base.

The more contacts you have the higher visibility you and your company will gain among Chamber members and the community. You will get to know leaders in the business community, local government, the schools and other "influential factors" that affect your business.

The Chamber's newsletter is mailed on a bimonthly basis to keep in contact with our membership.

The Chamber office is open during regular business hours, offering advice and answers to members, newcomers, residents, and visitors alike. The Chamber has an Executive Director that is available to answer the thousands of community and business related inquiries. We also have a 24-hour FAX line, Voice Mail and E-mail

The Chamber hosts Networking Breakfasts and Luncheons, State of the City, State of the Chamber, Joint Chamber meetings, and visitations to Chamber businesses plus fund raising events.

Our Business Show gives our members the opportunity to showcase their business and make new contacts.

Annually the Chamber presents the "Grindstone Award" to an outstanding citizen(s) who contributes their time and effort toward making Berea a better place to live. A winner is chosen from nomination letters received by the Chamber. The award is presented at a dinner in the spring.

The Chamber is a member of the Northeast Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce, which is a regional partnership of community based chambers dedicated to helping chambers deliver competitive and cost-saving benefits and services for their member businesses Group Health Insurance, Workers' Comp Premium Reduction, Group Life and Disability, Retirement Plan Administration, Educational Opportunities, and Directors and Officers Insurance.

The Berea Chamber of Commerce Workers' Compensation Group Rating Program is administered by CareWorks Consultants Inc (CCI).
